How we treat our patients
Our team is trained in many types of chiropractic adjusting, including:
Diversified Chiropractic Technique (DCT)
As the most commonly used adjustment therapy in the industry, this technique uses a short (low-amplitude), quick (high-velocity) thrust over the joints in question in order to restore comfort and range of motion.
Chiropractic Instrument Adjusting
This is an FDA approved device that’s been designed to directly deliver very accurate, yet gentle adjustments to the joints of the spine and any other area that is in discomfort, it helps to relieve pain and get the body working as it should.
Drop Table
Spine-related injuries can often be helped through the healing process using this technique. This special table allows your doctor to carefully move targeted sections of your spine through engineering that allows areas of the table to be moved higher or lower.
At Sikorsky Chiropractic, we incorporate many therapies into the patients’ treatment. Oftentimes combining the beneficial effects of more than one therapy. For instance, stretching and muscle activation could be used in conjunction with standard manipulative therapy in order to effectively meet the patient’s needs.
Chiropractic care is vital to our patients’ well-being as it helps to restore normal function to the spine and extremity joints- a properly functioning joint is a healthy joint.
Results of chiropractic care
Of course, the results of your chiropractic care plan will differ by both patient and problem; however, the services our office provides are not only naturally effective and safe but also cost-effective.
We believe in our patients and that they want a comfortable, pain-free life, so we provide a plan they can follow and if they do that, along with the homework we give, they will see the results.
The American Chiropractic Association found that “Chiropractic patients were found to be more satisfied with their back care providers after four weeks of treatment than were medical patients. Results from observational studies suggested that back pain patients are more satisfied with chiropractic care than with medical care. Additionally, studies conclude that patients are more satisfied with chiropractic care than they were with physical therapy after six weeks.”
Hertzman-Miller et al (2002), American Journal of Public Health

“I've been seeing Dr. Sikorsky for a month and a half now and I am thrilled with the results and the care I have received. Prior to seeing Dr. Sikorsky I had a consultation and visit with a different local office that left me feeling rather skeptical of chiropractic care. Thankfully Dr. Sikorsky has helped change my mind.
In addition to doing adjustments he thoroughly discusses the "why" and spends a lot of time on what I can do at home to get better (homework!). The exercises he has shown me have been a game changer. They've helped me get better faster and changed the way I work out. I really appreciate that he focuses so much on form and strength. I'm almost a little sad that as I get better I won't have my weekly visits!” – J. Allmyer, Elgin, IL
